Go Ahead, Splash a Little Ink on the Page!

Welcome to See Jane Ink, a community for women who like to write.  Or read.  Or talk.

It's free, it's easy and all janes are welcome (even if you are a Sally, Samantha or Diane!).  Just register now or login and get started.

Morning Pages

We wanted a fun site to write Morning Pages; three daily pages (a minimum of 750 words) to help clear out the clutter in your mind and access your creative potential.  It's online and easily accessible, so that means you can jump in and do your morning pages first thing, or in the afternoon or in the evening and be finished for the day.  Simple. Easy. Done.

Don't worry about grammar, punctuation, profundity or the profane.  Just dump it all out and leave it there.  We suggest you don't even go back and read it.  Unless it's one of those breakthrough days and a brilliant nugget of wisdom or kickass prose shows up.  Copy and paste that to your documents or maybe you'll even want to share with the Janes in your public Blog or Forum!

Does Anyone Read My Pages?

Nope.  And we suggest you don't either, at least not for a long time.  They are private, secure, and password protected, leaving room for you to be spontaneous and say it like it is.  Not like the time your mom found your diary.  Or your kids read your journal about the first night you met their dad.

And if you want to publish something publicly, we invite you to Blog, we'd love that!  Share your status updates on your social page and connect with other Janes.  Jump into the Forums and start a topic or instant message other janes online.

What is a Jane?

This site is for every woman, every jane.  Jane is jane doe, plain jane, see jane.  Whether you are a writer or welder, teenager or woman of a certain age,  teacher or trucker, this site is for you.   There is no work to be done.  No self improvement, makeover, makeup, or overhaul required.  This is a come as you are party!

Jump in and build your community.  We will have contests and classes and more and would love to hear from you if there is something you'd like to see on this site.
